We believe in improving the lives of our weavers and nomadic wool suppliers. By directly engaging with local Himalayan communities, we eliminate middlemen and pay above-average prices for their yarn and wool, while offering our luxury carpets at competitive rates. It’s a symbiotic relationship—one that uplifts both the weavers and our discerning customers. We work closely with them to enhance their skills and knowledge, educate them on their rights and responsibilities, and ensure safe working conditions. Our artisans receive fair wages and craft each carpet with passion and precision. We also support their education, empowerment, and the well-being of their families.
Care for Environment
At Himalayan Carpet, our commitment to the environment is unwavering. We implement eco-friendly processes, such as reducing water usage, promoting natural dyes, and supporting reforestation efforts in our quest to reach net-zero carbon before 2045. We pledge to plant a tree for every carpet sold and give a portion of each sale goes towards providing healthcare services to our artisans and their families.
Care for Community
Climate change is severely impacting the Himalayas, forcing many residents to migrate and leaving behind a void where centuries-old craftsmanship once thrived. We care deeply about the community in the Himalayan region and beyond, hence we partner with a local charities to empower people by promoting health, education, culture, and conservation. We donate 1% of our profits annually to support these efforts, fostering a community where everyone can live and work with equality and security while celebrating their heritage and diversity. Our mission extends to empowering the weavers by enhancing their skills, educating them about their rights, and ensuring fair wages and safe working conditions. We are committed to preserving and showcasing the art of hand-knotted carpet and throw making.
